By accessing or using MementoMuse at mementomuse.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. The Service

MementoMuse provides a web-based platform for creating personalized crossword puzzles for celebrations such as weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, and other meaningful events. We offer digital downloads, printed posters, and acrylic board formats.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service. By using MementoMuse, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

4. License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or otherwise exploit any part of the Service or its underlying technology.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of the names, memories, dates, and other personal details you submit through our questionnaire ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a limited license to use it solely for the purpose of generating your crossword puzzle and fulfilling your order.

You are responsible for ensuring that Your Content does not infringe any third-party rights and complies with all applicable laws.

6. AI-Generated Content

MementoMuse uses AI to assist in generating crossword puzzle clues and grids. While we strive for quality and accuracy, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors or unexpected results. Your completed puzzle will be provided for your review before finalizing or printing. We are not liable for inaccuracies in AI-generated output.

7. Purchases and Refunds

All purchases are processed securely through our payment provider. Prices are listed in USD and are subject to change.

Because personalized puzzles are custom-created for you, we generally do not offer refunds once your puzzle has been generated. If there is an error on our end or a quality issue with a physical product, please contact us at hello@mementomuse.com and we will make it right.

8. Intellectual Property

All rights to the MementoMuse website, platform, software, branding, and puzzle templates are owned by or licensed to MementoMuse. Nothing in these Terms transfers any such rights to you. You may not use our name, logo, or trademarks without our prior written consent.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Submit content that is infringing, harassing, defamatory, or obscene.
• Attempt to scrape, copy, or systematically extract data from the Service.
• Impersonate any person or entity.
• Use the Service to develop a competing product or service.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MementoMuse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service, including loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
